Artists
cam bush CV

cam bush is an interdisciplinary artist who works across a broad spectrum of media, frequently employing video, installation and performance in work that is alternately earnest, and wryly humourous. His art practice is anchored in investigations of human interconnectivity, and questions the socially participatory role of art and the artist. Specifically, he inquires into the nature of location and its relationship to collective and individual identity; the role of language in shaping thought and communication; and romantic love. He aspires to make art that engages in emotionally visceral ways, often in the form of anonymous and gentle interventions into the lives of an unsuspecting audience - doing so with ambitions toward a degree of universality that transcends the insularity of art discourse. He recieved a BFA (Hons.) from the University of Manitoba in 2005.
